As I honestly
believe that anyone can cook if they just have the
confidence
I have included
here a list of recipes I have that have been put in “idiot proof” format.
The recipes go
into great detail as to how to cook any dish
And will even
explain how to perform the simplest of tasks in cooking
Every recipe lists
the steps needed to prepare the dish in 1-2-3 steps

I have even
included recipes made only with the use of your microwaves (no oven
required)!
Because every
vegetarian seems to have a different opinion as to what constitutes a
vegetarian dish (no meat, no dairy, no fish, etc), I could not guarantee that
any recipes would be completely acceptable to all vegetarians, so the best I
could think of doing was giving you a list of “meat free”
recipes, and allowing you to make your own minds up as to what is
acceptable to yourselves.
Please do not be intimidated by any of the recipes here!
I have tested them all on complete novices (and even on 5 year old
children)
All of them are incredibly easy to make!
In many recipes,
you will see a link, which means that
there is more information on that subject, or
ingredient available at a click of your mouse. My reason for including all
these links (and some may appear to be obvious to those that feel they already
know how to treat certain foods) is simple – when I started cooking, and
following recipes, I could easily follow the instructions given to me, but
found myself using poor quality ingredients, or not knowing how to properly
perform a step in the recipe (for example; a recipe may just say “mash the
potatoes”, and so the logical thing to do is to just bash the potatoes into a
pulp instead of adding milk and butter as the writer of the recipe intended).
Although, in most cases, the use of poor ingredients, or not understanding what
the writer of the recipe exactly meant in a process may not actually ruin the
dish, by using the particular type of ingredient, or style of process that the
writer intended the dish is made better, looks better and has the taste,
texture, smell and look that the cook originally expected and desired. Given
the example used of mashed potatoes in a dish – if the novice cook weren’t told
that certain types of potato are better for using for mashing than others, or
that adding a little milk and butter improves the texture of the potatoes, then
the dish would not turn out as well as it could have done. If the dish does not
come out as expected, the novice cook may decide that it is their fault and not
try making that dish again. I honestly believe that everyone can cook IF they
are given the knowledge and instruction on how and what to make, dishes are
only spoiled or turn out not as good as expected, where the recipe assumes more
knowledge of the cook than they actually have.
Only the links to
making the dishes are listed here, but almost every recipe will have links in
it to tell you how to make various parts of it.

this Conversion Table useful for
converting imperial to metric measurements, or for oven temperatures or for
tips on how to measure ingredients correctly.
If you would
prefer to see all the recipes listed in Excel format (with links to each recipe
and a breakdown of what category each recipe belongs to) then feel free to open
my own listing of recipes at http://www.salohcin.co.uk/recipes/recipe_list.xls
This is the Excel file that I use to keep track of what recipe goes where and what subcategories they are listed under. It will give an up to the date list of every cooking related page I put on the site.
I admit that I have had a few worries about what category to put some recipes into, and I have done my best to find the correct category / categories for each recipe. If I felt that a dish has its origin in more than one country, then I have put it under miscellaneous. If you disagree with how I have categorised any recipe, please forgive me, but having over 20,000 recipes to type up on my own, I don’t have time to get every single one right. I have done the best that I can to provide this completely free site, so please forgive any errors I may have made.
I would also like to point out that I claim no original authorship of all these recipes (I am a mere mortal and couldn’t possibly have created all these recipes myself). They are collected from all kinds of sources from all over the world and from all kinds of different people.
Firstly, here’s an external link that I was sent to do with washing up and kitchen hygiene. It’s funny, so I thought I’d include it (after asking permission of course).

As yet I have only added:
1,392 Recipe pages (where I have multiple recipes for the same dish,
they appear all on the same page)
355 Pages of Ingredients Descriptions
76 “How To” Pages
I still have many more pages left to add and I shall be doing so as
quickly as I am able to.

A list of recipes that have no regional base.
Otherwise, if you
don’t want a break down by country or region, here I have grouped together the
recipes by ingredient type.
Many recipes will
appear in more than one category.
