Ricotta Fritters

 

Serves : 4

 

Ingredients:

 

225g / 8oz Ricotta Cheese

Plain (All-Purpose) Flour

2 Eggs, beaten

Vegetable Oil

½ cup / 100g / 4oz Sugar

Pinch of Ground Cinnamon

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Spread the cheese on a flat plate to make a layer about 2.5cm / 1 inch thick.

 

  1. Cut into 2.5 x 5cm (1 x 2 inch) pieces; roll the pieces in flour and chill for about 1 hour.

 

  1. Roll again in flour, then in beaten eggs.

 

  1. Fry in a wide pan with plenty of hot oil.

 

  1. When golden brown, drain, arrange on a serving dish and sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon. Serve hot.
